eVersum's Triage Airport Bus

In anticipation of travel restrictions being lifted in the near future, eVersum is currently converting Airport Buses that can serve as mobile triage units evaluating passenger’s vital health signs.

The world will recover from COVID-19 but it will not remain the same. There is little doubt that the increased attention to hygiene and health screening will remain and it is quite obvious that airports will use technology to provide reassurance and confidence in flying to its passengers after the corona virus pandemic.

And eVersum would like to contribute to overcome such challenges by offering latest technology solutions that are available today in order to support a stepwise restart of flight operation, while safeguarding the best possible health protection for both passengers and staff. The eVersum mobile health check station in form of an Airport Bus offers 3 bays, each equipped with patented, latest technology equipment that allows for touchless health checks within seconds, which enables an optimized passenger flow.

Health Check Airport Buses can be used for:
-> Arriving passengers from risk countries and areas (apron check upon deboarding or in front of terminal airside)
-> Health checks before entering the terminal for departing passengers (pre-screening to avoid passengers with symptoms to even enter the airport buildings)

In a first phase, eVersum offers completely converted Airport Buses for sale or long-term rental. In a second phase, it is also foreseen to provide conversion kits for the most common airport and city bus models.

The roll-out of public transport in rural areas is on the agenda of both local and federal governments throughout Europe. Providing citizens in rural areas and villages smaller than 5k people with sufficient public transport options is understood to both increase the quality of living and to help saving the planet. However, it has proven difficult in the past to implement economically viable solutions stemming from the lack of purpose-optimized vehicles.

eVersum is addressing the needs and restrictions arising from public transport operation in rural areas with the development of the so-called eShuttle, an electric shuttle bus with a passenger capacity of up to 30 people, technically concepted and cost-optimized for the very purpose.

“eVersum's eShuttle is the consequent realization of a 21st century electric vehicle, that allows to perform comfortable passenger transport in sparsely populated regions and villages at the right kind of cost” says Pete Speck, Head of Business Development at eVersum.

eVersum is currently developing an entire operations scheme together with supra-regional partners in Austria to roll out a public transport concept based on the eShuttle, that comes at a considerably smaller price tag compared to a full-featured electric city bus. Planned SOP is scheduled for Q2/2021.

LTO Battery Pack

Electric public transport can be a considerable contribution to help our planet recovering from an excess amount of man-made emissions. However, the hype about electric vehicles of all kinds seems to neglect the fact that the selected battery cell technology does have decisive influence on the degree of environmental sustainability of electric vehicles.

Used raw-materials and their geographic origin, production processes, cycle life and recycling or second life considerations do determine whether the carbon footprint of an electric vehicle is actually smaller than the one of conventionally powered ones.

For that reason and in order to offer the most sustainable solution to date, eVersum - on the one hand - chooses battery cell technology that allows to minimize the use of eco-unfriendly materials and chemicals and that - on the other hand - offers an extraordinarily high cycle-life with 15,000+ full charging cycles, thus reducing life-cycle emissions to a bare minimum.

The good news for buyers and operators of eVersum’s electric vehicles including the so-called eTrain and the eShuttle is that the total life-cycle costs (LCC) of the vehicles do decrease as well thanks to the utilization of such advanced battery cell technology.
